The short version

Inktuition helps you turn a tattoo idea into a design and connect with a real artist. We collect the account, image, and preference data needed to do that, we don't sell your data, and we use a small set of trusted service providers to run the app. You can delete individual items — or your whole account and all its data — yourself at any time.

What we collect

Account info: email address, and password (if you don't use Google sign-in). If you sign in anonymously first, we still assign you an internal account ID so your swipes and designs aren't lost.

Content you create: tattoo ideas, text prompts, generated designs, swipe preferences, body placement selections, skin-tone selection, and any photos you upload (e.g. of existing tattoos).

Camera & photos: the try-on feature uses your device camera to preview a design on your skin. That entirely happens in your browser — nothing from it is uploaded. If you tap capture, the resulting image goes straight to your device's share sheet or downloads folder; we never receive or store it.

Communications: messages, booking requests, and consultation replies you exchange with artists through Inktuition.

Usage data: basic product-analytics and error-monitoring events (e.g. which screens you visit, which features you use, crashes) so we can improve the app and fix bugs. This is not shared with advertisers.

Location: a city/region you provide, used only to match you with nearby artists.

How we use it

To generate and refine your tattoo designs, personalize recommendations based on your taste, match you with artists in your area, let artists respond to your bookings and consultations, keep the app secure and within reasonable usage limits, and improve the product.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to operate Inktuition — a database/auth provider (Supabase), an AI image-generation provider (Replicate), an AI text-safety provider (Anthropic) that screens prompts before they're sent to image generation, an error-monitoring provider (Sentry) that helps us catch and fix crashes, and an email-delivery provider (Resend) that sends account and transactional email on our behalf. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments; we do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

If you submit a booking request or reply to a consultation, the relevant parts of your idea, design, and contact details are shared with the specific artist you're contacting — that's the point of the feature.

Your choices

You can delete individual designs, ideas, or My Ink entries from your profile at any time — that's immediate and self-service. You can also delete your whole account and all its data yourself from your profile (Account, then “Delete account & data”); that's immediate too and removes your personal data from our active systems, or you can email us to do it for you. Ephemeral (not-yet-saved) designs are retained so you don't lose in-progress work, but are tied to your account and removed with it.

Age requirement

Inktuition is intended for users 18 and older, consistent with the tattoo industry's standard age of consent. If you're under 18, this isn't the app for you yet.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and adjust the “last updated” date above.
